Why Different Membership Categories?

At EZI, we recognize that the future of agriculture depends on collaboration across all sectors of the industry. That's why we've established three distinct membership categories: Producer, Industry, and Corporate. Each category plays a vital role in achieving our collective vision for the future of farming.

• Producer Membership: Our core members—those who are directly involved in farming—are the driving force behind EZI. They provide the practical, on-the-ground insights that shape our initiatives and ensure that innovation is aligned with real-world agricultural needs.

• Industry Membership: The wider agriculture industry, including suppliers, technology developers, consultants, and service providers, plays a crucial role in helping us bring our vision to life. By establishing an Industry category, we’ve created a space for these key partners to engage directly with our producer members. Industry members help fuel the development of agricultural solutions, offering insights, resources, and expertise that drive our collective success.

• Corporate Membership: Larger organizations, such as agribusinesses, corporate partners, and stakeholders with a broader interest in agricultural innovation, can become Corporate Members. These members provide critical funding, strategic guidance, and broader industry perspective that support EZI’s sustainability and growth.

Governance and Engagement

The Founders of EZI recognized the need for strong collaboration between producers and industry players to achieve our vision. That’s why we’ve created a structured governance system that includes seats on the Board for up to three Industry members and six Producer members. This structure ensures that:

• Producers retain control of the direction and leadership of the organization, with a majority presence on the board, ensuring our focus remains on their needs.

• Industry members have the opportunity to engage at a strategic level, providing valuable input, resources, and partnerships to strengthen our initiatives.

This balanced governance approach encourages deeper engagement from all sectors, ensuring that each membership category contributes to and benefits from EZI’s shared goals.
